Who we are

This app ("Michelin Dining Tracker", "we") is a personal dining diary that helps you log visits to Michelin-starred restaurants. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you control.

Information we collect

• Account information. Your email address, chosen password (stored only in encrypted form by the platform), and the name on your profile.
• Profile details. The screen name and short bio you choose to add.
• Your dining diary. The visits you log — restaurant, date, your rating, notes, and any menu or dish photos you upload. These are visible only to you.
• Submissions. Historical restaurants and photos you submit for community verification. These are reviewed by app administrators before publication.
• Calendar data. When you import a calendar, the app reads your events only to suggest restaurant matches. Calendar content is processed for that import and is not stored.

How your information is used

• To create and secure your account, and to sign you in.
• To display your private dining diary and star tally back to you.
• To let you log visits faster by matching imported calendar events.
• To publish approved community content — restaurant histories and photos.
• To operate, maintain, improve, and develop the app and related services — including analyzing usage and content to make the product better — in our discretion, subject to this policy and applicable law.

By using the app, you acknowledge that we collect the information described above and may use it for these purposes as we see fit, within the limits of this policy.

What is shared publicly

The community leaderboard shows each diner's screen name, visit count, and lifetime star total. If you prefer not to appear, untick "Show my name on the public leaderboard" in Account → Privacy & Consents and you will be listed anonymously instead. Your dining diary, notes, and photos are never shared — only you can see them. We never display your email address to other users.

Marketing communications

We may use your email address to contact you about app features, dining highlights, partner offers, events, and other updates we think you'll enjoy. You can opt in or out of these marketing emails at any time in Account → Privacy & Consents, or by following the unsubscribe instructions in any message you receive. We will not send marketing emails to users who have not opted in.

Your consents and choices

You decide, at any time in Account → Privacy & Consents, whether to appear on the public leaderboard, whether photos you submit may be displayed in the app, and whether you receive marketing emails. Changing your mind takes effect when you save.

Your rights

You can view and edit your profile and diary entries at any time within the app. To request deletion of your account or data, contact the app owner through the support channel published with this app.

Data retention and security

Your data is kept while your account is active and is handled by the app's hosting platform, which applies access controls so each user can only reach their own records. Diary entries are private by design.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, the policy will be updated here with a new date, and you may be asked to review your consent choices.
